Privacy Policy

Alfred is a private assistant used only by members of the Azura household. This policy explains what Alfred does with data from Google accounts that household members choose to connect.
What Google data Alfred accesses
- Google Calendar — to read events and create events the user asks for.
- Gmail — to search and read messages the user asks about, and to send messages the user has explicitly approved.
- Google Drive — to list and read files the user asks about.
- The account's email address — to confirm which account was connected.
How it is used
Only to carry out a request that the account owner makes directly in a chat with Alfred. Alfred does not send email or calendar invitations without the owner's explicit confirmation in that chat. It does not use Google data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the owner's own requests.
Where it is processed
Alfred runs on a computer in the family's home. To answer a request, the relevant text — which may include content from the connected Google account — is processed by an AI model, either locally on that computer or by Anthropic's Claude service. Nothing else is sent to any third party.
Storage and retention
Access tokens, chat history and backups are stored on the family's home computer. Google data is fetched when a request needs it and is not collected into a separate store; it remains only where it appears in the chat itself (for example, when Alfred quotes an email in a reply). A household member can ask for their chat history to be deleted at any time.
Sharing
Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone, except as described above to produce a response. It is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Limited Use
Alfred's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access
Any connected account can be disconnected at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions (select Alfred, then "Remove access").
